We would like to thank everyone who’s been participating on The Family Soup as players and spectators. We’ve gotten a lot of great feedback from friends and family off of the site that has given us some ideas (we think they’re pretty good).
We’ve decided to open up more areas of our “house” to provide places where people can hear and be heard on several aspects of family life. Therefore we take this opportunity to announce the addition of “The Family Room” and “The Sandbox.” (You’ll find links to these areas above and to the right)
Therefore ‘The Kitchen’ will continue to be the place where we share stories, ideas, and experiences about friends and neighbors.
If you want to talk about current events in the world affecting families in general , head on into ‘The Family Room,’ and speak up!
If you want to know what we think about stuff, feel free to peruse the desk in ‘our corner’, which is kind of like a “nook.”
And if you would just like to enjoy the innocence of youth, go hang out in ‘The Sandbox’ and be entertained with the priceless moments of inadvertent little clowns.
Someday, I’m thinking of adding on a garage, but at present I’m not quite sure what we’d talk about in there…
Anyway, so come on in and don’t leave without saying a word or two somewhere. Mi casa es su casa, eh?

I finished my first marathon today! I ran it in 4 hours and 14 minutes. I really wanted to run it under 4 hours, but we had cold rain the whole 26.2 miles and my body took a turn for the worse because of it! Unfortunately, I was not dressed for the rain.
